Peldi posted a very interesting component to the FlashComm mailinglist; RING! A little easy component. Peldi describes the component as follows;

“The problem: whenever I go to a chat room and I’m the first one there, I hate to just sit there and wait for people to appear. So I cover the chat window with other browser windows, checking back once in a while. (Sometimes I find people waving desperately in front of their webcam and a chat message that says “I don’t have a mic!!!!, Hellooooo!!!! I’m hereeee!”) 😉 The solution: a simple “RING” button that they can click, which plays a sound on every client’s machine.“
