First Flex 2 seminar in The Netherlands

Published by at 21:25 under Wayback Archive

Adobe and Authorized Training Partner Prisma IT will be hosting the first series of Flex 2 seminars in The Netherlands on May 24th, 2006. You can register at the Dutch Adobe events webpage.

In half a day we will be introducing Java and ColdFusion developers into Flex 2. Note that this will be a fairly in-depth and technical seminar, even though we assume that attendees don’t have in-depth Flex knowledge when they come. Below is the raw agenda:

  • Welcome and announcing Flex 2 Developer Competition NL [Waldo Smeets]
  • What’s New in Flex Builder 2 & Flex Framework [Waldo Smeets]
  • Seamless J2EE and ColdFusion integration with Flex Data Services [Simon Slooten]
  • Flex AJAX integration [Waldo Smeets]

Dutch Flex Developer Derby
I still have to prepare all the details, but during the event we will also be announcing the Dutch version of the Flex Developer Derby. I’m trying to convince marketing to give away prices to the Best Flex Data Services application & Best User Experience Design created with Flex Framework.

As mentioned, I still have to set up the entire competition. So if you have ideas about rules, duration of the competition, whether this should be open to both individuals and teams or about an additional category, please let me know!

Sounds cool, will the Flex Developer Derby be open to the entire Benelux?

  2. Waldo Smeets says:

Peter, I knew that question would come up 😉 I will be checking this with marketing to make sure.

  3. Jeff says:

I was wondering if the seminar will be held in English or Dutch? I am an expat in The Netherlands and would love to attend, but my Dutch is not that great yet. Thanks.

  4. Waldo Smeets says:

Hi Jeff, the seminar will be in Dutch (though slides will be English most likely). Feel free to come!

  5. Hello Waldo,

At the Flex 2 launch seminar you said you will post the slides of both presentations online, might be me but i cant seem to find them. Any chance on putting them online?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sidney
