Cool stuff: FarCry is an open source, full blown

Cool stuff: FarCry is an open source, full blown CMS built in ColdFusion MX. If I am correct it was a commercial product in the past and an alternative CMS after the demise of Spectra. So FarCry supports many of the things that were available in Spectra, for free! I had it up and running in a few minutes and it has so many features, incredible. Now there is no excuse anymore to not choose ColdFusion because “there are no cool opensource CF projects”! (Sorry PHP users, I could not resist 😉 If you know of any other opensource ColdFusion code initiatives, feel free to post them in the comments section. Honestly, I never really looked for them.)

You can go download FarCry from here, or you can go and look at the demo site here. If you do go to the demo site, make sure you login and check out the admin interface. That’s the same interface you get from a fresh install. It’s currently being labelled as version 1, but a lot of the code’s been in use for the last 4 years in various different projects. Now all I have to do is finding out how to build a nice Rich Internet Application nased on FarCry 😉 (via Simon Slooten and Spike)
