I already mentioned it earlier in this BLOG: the UltraDev PHP community is on it’s move. Tim Green (tim@udzone.com) and Bruno Mairlot (bruno@udzone.com), both respected UDzone Managers for the PHP content, have opened a new project at SourceForge.net: PHPMXDB. What I understand from is that they’ll be extending the DWMX PHP Server Model to make it database independant. I don’t have the full picture yet, but you should keep an eye on this topic at UDzone.
